YOUR CITY: PARTICIPATE AND WIN A TRIP TO DURBAN

Win one of 20 trips to YOur City, the inaugural Youth Crime Prevention & Cities Summit in Durban, South Africa, 17 to 21 June 2008.

The conference is hosted by the Department of Community Safety and Liaison of the Provincial Government of KwaZulu-Natal on behalf of the Government of South Africa and co-hosted/executed by UN-HABITAT on behalf of the United Nations.To participate online is easy:

Just write an essay, poem, rap lyric, send pictures or a short video that explain your ideas on making your city safe and on fighting crime. The topic is youth and children championing community safety for a better world. For your entry, simply think of effective or innovative ways to reduce youth crime in your neighbourhood. Then, just submit them online.

WIN a trip (flight, hotel and food) to YOur City, the UN Habitat conference in Durban, South Africa which brings together policy makers, local governments and youth organizations to discuss and develop policies for increasing community safety.

The YOurCity competition deadline has been extend by 10 days! Closing date for your entries is now the 10th of May, 2008. Get cracking with your entries!
